Screen Print Student of the Year 2011

On Wednesday 30th November, Lee Thomas was awarded the Kippax Screen Printing Student of the Year. Lee has just completed an Advanced Apprenticeship with Heraldic Pottery where he has been training as a screen printer since September 2008. Lee prints multi-colour ceramic transfers, many of which are produced exclusively for designers across the country. Throughout his apprenticeship, Lee has demonstrated an excellent attitude towards his work and has produced quality work under the watchful eye of Dylan his supervisor.

Lee’s tutor Shane Eldershaw said that Lee had been an excellent student to teach and that it had been a pleasure to see him progress. Lee has shown that he can cut it in a very busy and pressured environment and produce work of a consistently high standard.

Lee is pictured receiving his prize of £100.00 which has been kindly sponsored by H.G. Kippax for several years. Lee is accompanied by his employers Jason Simms, Andy Tooth and his mentor Dylan.

“We are always proud to sponsor More Trainings Screen Printing Student of the Year Award.  Congratulations Lee on your efforts and achievements – well deserved!”
